It is not impossible that flyers were put in stock later on. Strangely enough, the back has a (not Barker) title more like the editions that contained 2 advertising flyers. This Flower Fairies of the Spring (1st edition is from 1923) is dated 1935, due to owner's insription. In the Netherlands, Barker publications were sold through the Bijenkorf in the 1930s (often shop stickers can be found on the cover flap) Only an indication of the print / year can be given. Barker's first books appeared in a series of Beautiful Color Books, along with works by other writers / illustrators.Įarly editions in the late 1930s, early 40s had various advertising flyers.īased on the backs, titles and owner names with year of publication The very first early editions are priced at 1/6 net: later 2/6 and other variants. Simply because no old edition was provided with a year / print.
